Loonie Stampers Challenge #5 ~~~ AND An Introduction!

                    

Morning!!!  Don't those colors above look amazing together??  Yeah, I thought they did too until I tried to make a card!!!  Regan, girlfriend, this was tough for me!  I had a hard time making them appear 'grown up' so what I got was some fun bright kids birthday cards!!  Take a look and while you're at it check out the other Loonies!!  Will you play along??  Be sure to add a link in the comment section if you do.  And if you don't have the Papertrey Cardstock....don't worry you can substitute SU Chocolate, Real Red and Summer Sun.  Teh bow on the 2nd card was totally inspired by my amazing friend Kimberly....I am sure I stole that idea from her!! Elzybell Challenge #1

                    

Hello!  Well here it is.  My first posted card using my wonderful new Elzybell Stamps.  I LOVE the size of these stamps.  They are perfect for paper piecing and they are even better for coloring.  As you can see I sure need alot of practice with my Copics.  Try not to look at the ground~~~ I smudged the card and that was my fix!!  LOL.

Wow~~~September Already

                  

Can you believe it?  We actually had to turn our furnace on yesterday as it was SO cold.  It even snowed in a town about 1 hour west of us yesterday.  Sure it's close to the mountains but it was August and that's just not right!! 

Here's just a quick card using a couple papers from K & Company.  The top scallop was done with a Martha Stewart punch, the ribbon is from a dollar store in Saskatchewan if you can believe it~~~love it!  And I Love my hydrangea flowers and bling!  I am finding I need more sentiment options (rub ons, chipboard).  Sure I can use stamps but I am liking the scrappy look too and a girl can always use more, right??

You and Me ~~~Sketch Challenge Card

                   

Happy Sunday!  I hope you are all enjoying your day.  It's rainy and cold here and that is fine by me as I could stay home and play in my craft room.  My good friend Steph is here hanging out with me.  Hi Steph!!  I haven't done many challenges but this card is one that I did for Lil' Scrappers sketch challenge which is posted by Carlaon the 25th of each month.  There are a few girls on the forum who do challenges throughout the month and I would like to do more of them.   All of the materials on this card are from a kit I ordered from Lil' Scrappers except for the alphabet stamps.  OH, and how do you like the photo??  I just got my light kit that I ordered from eBay and this is the first card I photographed.  I think the lights may not be as bright as I would have liked so I will try adding my OTT light to brighten up the photos next time.  But overall~~~I likey!  OK, enjoy your long weekend.  Go Create!!

Isn't this the cutest?!!  Becky made them for Kim, Lynn and I.  We have been having a great time using the papers that Becky has been creating - called Demi Design~~~and you can download them for FREE!  Seriously, how amazing is that?  They are all so beautiful.  She has some new ones called Singlets and I am in awe.  Check out her blog and see all the great designs she has come up with.  This new release is called Bats in the Belfry ----that's right---- Halloween!!  I don't think I made any halloween cards last year as I had not even been stamping for a year at that time and I really did not have any Halloween schtuff.  So needless to say I had much fun with this paper!!!  Be sure to check out Kim and Lynn's blogs to see what amazing creations they came up with too.  And of course, Hurry over to Becky's blog to print some out for yourself and play along.  Have a great weekend!  Go create!

Just a quick card to share with you today.  It's made from a Scrap Kit that I bought from Lil' Scrappers.  I love every single piece of paper in this kit!!!  I will be sure create more with it soon.  Have a good day everyone!  p.s....I'm still enjoying sewing on my cards.  I even managed to go around the curved corners pretty good. 

Loonie Stampers Challenge #5

                          

Happy Friday everyone!!  This is going to be a great day ~~~ Jewels arrives today to stay with me for the weekend.  We only live 2.5 hours apart and I know we are going to have so much fun!!  I can't wait!

Today's LSC challenge was mine to choose and I went with the above colors.   However, this week I did not choose a specific stamp set to use ~~~~ so if you are playing along use any stamp set you want!  In fact my card has no stamping at all.  Can you believe the stem on my flowers is thread?  I was thrilled to find my sewing machine has this leaf design as an option.

Hey Everyone....I am back from vacation.  It's good to be home but jumping back into making cards was not so easy after 2 weeks.   I made a few cards Friday and was definitely worried as they bordered on ugly.  LOL.  But here is a card I made last night that I am happy to share.  It's based on a sketch over at Lil' Scrappers.  I just found this on-line store and forum and I love it!!! Very fun!  Have a great day.

Unity Imagine Create Become

                        

Maybe the title should have been Button Overkill.....LOL.  My mom recently bought me 8 quart size jars of buttons from her local thrift store.  I am so in love with those jars of buttons!!  The stamps are from my Unity Kit of The Month.  I combined 2 stamps here and stamped on some new dp.  My beloved Papertrey Vintage Cream cardstock is the base and the ribbon is from Michaels.  I will be home later this week.  I hope to spend the weekend stamping.  I will have been missing my cards but I did take my Copics and a bunch of images to practice my coloring.  Have a great week everyone and we will see you soon.

Can you believe it's been 2 weeks already??  This week our challenge was chosen by Deanna.  This is the FIRST time I have used this anniversay set from Papertrey.  I think it was about time too!  Here is my card.  I feel like it's missing a sentiment but I couldn't figure out where or how to add one.
