Raspberry Suite CC

                            RSCC

I needed a birthday card for a friend (Happy Birthday Cristy!) and used Dawn's colour challenge for it.   Whew....these were not easy colours were they?  I think it was that red and green that took me for a loop.

                    RSCC 11

The stamps are both by Elzybells.  The cupcake stamp is from the Mini Messages~A Little Hello set.  So cute.  I paper pieced the icing on each cupcake rather than colouring them in.   The hb sentiment is one of my favs as I just love the font.

Thanks for visiting everyone!  Have a great day.

Loonie Stampers

                           LSC_47_Deee

I will tell you that when one of the girls chooses a colour challenge that I think is hard or just plain odd I whine and torment them with my whining.  This week Dee chose Scarlet Jewel, Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado and Lemon Tart.  Well I nearly fell down dead with shock.  Oh I whined and whined.  That is until I made my card and realized I LOVE those colours together.  Dee, you are brilliant....love you!!  So I will fess up and say that I don't have the Scarlet Jewel colour from Papertrey yet but it's coming!  What I did use was a crochet flower by Imaginesce that I have had for a while.  I thought the colour was good enough to make do.  I am going to a baby christening for some very good friends of ours in a couple of weeks and this will be their card.

                          LSC #47

Unfortunately Jewels had to leave town for a family emergency so we didn't have our usual colour map artist.  Well Dee, once again, floored me with her talent and created our colour map this week.  I absolutely LOVE it.

Be sure to check the girls creations.  I cannot wait to see what they did with these colours.  Have a GREAT Friday and a fantastic weekend.

Red & White

                                    Elzybells DT Challenge 2

The Elzybells Fortnightly challenge is to create a card using the colours of your countries flag.  I think for most of the DT that is red, white and blue but for Canada it's just a simple red and white.

                     EB22

As you can see I took full advantage of the red and white theme to not colour my image.  I know, I know....I was being lazy.

                     EB22 a

Once I was finished my second card I couldn't decide if I liked it better standing upright or as a wider card so I decided to show you both pics.   The sentiment and the little flower stamps are from the newly released Best Things clear stamp set.  I seriously love these sentiments.  Please play along and post a link to your card on Elizabeth's blog.  We'd love it if you did!!

Well Hi There!

I am SO excited that you are here!  It's Card Creations 7 week over at Paper Crafts and I am THA-RILLED to be part of the CC7 designer blog tour.  Seriously~~~somebody pinch me!!!!

                          CC7 Cover

Is that not the most gorgeous cover ever?!  I was absolutely on Cloud 9 when I had 7 cards picked up for this edition.  It's my very first publication with Paper Crafts and I couldn't be more honoured to be asked to showcase one of those cards for you.  I chose the Birthday Bird and Bling.  The starting point for this card was actually that gorgeous velvet ribbon.  It's vintage Le Roi and I had just recently found many rolls of it for $1 each (seriously!) and was eager to use it.  The other materials just fell in to place and perfectly finished off a simple card with a big pop of colour.  I cannot believe how good it looks photographed by a professional.  Yep.....still on Cloud 9.

Loonie Stampers Challenge #46

                                  LSC_46_regan

Hey all!  Hope you are all having a fabulous week.  It's Friday....so how can that not be good, right?!!  I am still on vaca but will be back Saturday.    Today's Loonie colour challenge was chosen by Regan and I quite love the simplicity of it.  And look Dee....I didn't cheat and add in a bunch of colours....although I kept thinking turquoise would be nice.  Haha.   I have absolutely been in love with this card by Betsy Veldman from the minute I saw it.  I then was on a mission to find the Indie Art Cricut cartridge (Thank you Steph for finding it for me!).  I LOVE it and I have now used my Cricut more in the past couple of weeks than I have used it in 2 years of owning it.   I went with Lemon Tart (a FAV color of mine) rather than the saffron and my background stamp was made by heat embossing the damask design.

                   LSC #46

Do you like my little green flower frog holding my card?  I know, I know....I am totally copying Dawn~~~but that girl has some fab ideas!!

Here's the Loonie girls.   Let's check 'em out!

Elzybells Release Day !!

Today is the day the new Elzybells stamps are available!!!  Check out the new release HERE.  You must also be sure to visit Elizabeth's blog and the rest of the DT.  This has been a fun release to create for and I am so happy you stopped by.   {Don't forget to enter my Elzybells blog candy....scroll 2 posts down.}

One of the styles of stamps that Elizabeth creates are these "multi" stamps.  I just love them and was excited to see another one added to the collection.  I used it as my main image on this fun little card.  The jar is filled with epsom salts and a few drops of peppermint oil so it's all ready to pour into the tub for some relaxation time.

                    Girl Thing set

The gorgeous teeny crocheted flowers are made by my wonderful fellow Loonie Jewels.  You can find them in her Etsy store.

OK next up....some ideas are probably best just left inside my head.  When I saw the new little sentiment "mirror, mirror on the wall"I thought of these little mirrors I bought ages ago.  I made a card with the mirror on the front but there is no way it will stand on it's own as it's so heavy.  The mirror isn't attached but rather hangs from the little button that is sewn through the cardstock.  I think a little altered item or frame using the mirror would have worked a little better.  However I decided to share anyway.

                    Mirror Mirror

It was impossible for me to take a picture that was all in focus.  My camera kept focusing on the mirror only.  Here's a close up of the sentiment which inspired my "card" and the inside~~~a stamp also from the new Pamper Yourself set.

Mirror Mirror close up    Mirror Mirror inside

I took the card outside to see if it would help me to get a better picture.  It didn't but I do love the clouds and trees in the mirror that I did capture.

Thanks for joining me for Elzybells week.  Be sure to come back Friday.  I have something fun for you to participate in and it includes more blog candy!!

Elzybells Sneak Peek Day 2

                   Pamper Gift set

One of the things I am so excited to tell you about is that there are THREE little Elzybells girls being released this month.  Yes....3!!  They are just the cutest.  The stamps I used today are from the Pamper Yourself dinkie set (which just means they are a bit smaller sized stamps I believe, but you wouldn't know it as they are a GREAT size as you can see by my A2 sized card).

                    Pamper Yourself card

My mom's always the happy recipient of my little projects.  I am sure this will be no exception as she loves this scent of lotions and sprays from Victoria Secret.  Thanks for stopping by.  Tomorrow these stamps and more will be available at Elzybells

Don't forget to check out my blog candy....scroll down one post.  See you tomorrow.
