One of the aspects involved in our kitchen renovation / main floor remodel is that there was a possibility it was going to be filmed for a local TV show. Well, it was confirmed a few days ago that our house was chosen as one of four renovations that will be filmed. Fun hey?!!
This afternoon we had a meeting scheduled with our designer at their office. This morning she emailed me this~~~~ "I just wanted to let you know that we will be filming part of our appointment today. No worries, it'll be easy!!" EEK! All I could think about was that I had nothing to wear. But then again maybe it was good I didn't have days to worry about what to wear. A fashionista I am not. lol.
Here's Kim, our designer, and Dave, the camera man. Kim is awesome. We hit it off from day 1. She totally sees the look we are going for and I know she will help us achieve it. She's also the host for the renovation TV show. Dave was fun and he made it pretty easy for us to relax even though he was pointing that camera at us for an hour. {{Kim told me the camera films in HD. She and I agreed - that's not a good thing. lol.}}
There was LOTS of laughing going on. I'm used to laughing with Mike all the time and today was no exception. He was so funny. We enjoyed the afternoon and to be honest it was pretty easy to forget the camera was there.
We talked about all kinds of options for our back splash {{check out those gorgeous marble subway tiles}} and cabinet colours. We are going with white of course but which white??? I brought all my favorites samples home to "live with" this weekend to narrow it down. My homework is to go to some show homes to check out flooring. I know I don't want dark hardwood but how light do I go? {{We are putting in new sand on site hardwood rather than refinishing the existing hardwood.}}
All in all a really fun day and I am getting SO excited! Lots of decisions to still be made but I am going to enjoy the process.
Now the most important question remains to be answered. Does the camera really add 10 pounds? OMG.
