Gorgeous Glitter Bird!

                        Glitter Bird.

Did you all know that Martha Stewarts craft line is now being carried at WalMart?  I went, I saw, I bought.....this adorable sticker glitter bird set.  This could be my most favorite card I have made yet.  My card overall was inspired by a new blog I found.   http://moralia.wordpress.com/    Check it out.  Her name is Carla, she is Canadian too and I am in awe.  OK....so my card looks nothing like hers but I had her "scrappy" style in mind when I creating.  Even the twine/button idea was from her.

My DH asked who I was giving this card to.  Um....me!  I am a card maker not a card giver!!!  LOL.

I am still out of town.  My next card scheduled is for Friday August 8.  It will be my Loonie Stampers Challenge card.  See you then.  Have a great week everyone.

She Did It Again!!!

             Demi Designs 3

Hey Everyone!  Becky-----Ms. Ultra Talented herself-----designed another set of dp!!  These are so cool and free!! Here are my cards using 3 of the 5 designs.  I have often gone back to this easy layout and it worked out great as I need some more cards to take to my MIL.  If you want to download the dp be sure to go to this post on Becky's blog to do so.  I love this choco/blue combo. My favorite pattern is that middle one.  Love it!!

And you have got to check out the designs that my friends Kimberly Crawford and Lynn Mercurio created using the same paper.  Soooo nice girls!

Thanks Becky for creating such fun paper!!!  Have a great day everyone.  See you Sunday with my next post.

Unity Butterfly

                       Unity Butterfly

Hey Everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was very low key.  I love having those weekends.  Here's a card I made the other night.  This uses the sentiment Becoming Butterfly  from Unity Stamps.  They have alot of singles and they are SO nice!  This paper is a new pack I purchased on the weekend.  I also bought a couple new Martha Stewart punches.  This butterfly and a bird.  And you can see that I have totally copied my good friend Jewels by adding some scraps to the inside of the card.  I love that!!  Thanks for the great idea Jewels!!  That's it for now.  Have a great day!!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #3

                                 LSC_03_Jewels

Happy Friday Morning everyone!!  Today's Loonie Stampers Challenge was issued by Jewels.   And did she ever take us to task with these colors!  LOL.  While they were not the easiest colors to combine I am happy with my card.  I cheated a bit though.........and did not use the actual Summer Sunrise cardstock.  I used these foam letter stickers that I had purchased from Michaels.  They are an exact match!!  The inside of the card is stamped....."where you're planted".  All the other product is Papertrey including the Spiral Bouquet stamp set we were required to use.  The next LSC is scheduled for August 8th.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have the greatest day ever!!

Demi Designs ---- Love 'em.

So you all know my BFL Becky, right??  She is such a wonderful and supportive friend to me.  AND she is so talented.  This girl is creating her own designer paper!!  I got a sneak peek and was able to print her newest designs.  Here's a few cards I made which I hope showcase her dp.  This is 3 of the 5 new patterns called London.  It's fun and it's free.  Check her blog out to print and play.  Enjoy!

Best Wishes Big Ben   She calls this dp Big Ben.  It is my FAVORITE!  I love everything about it.  The card base is my beloved Papertrey Vintage Cream and the middle layer is SU's retired True Thyme (also to go down as one of my favorite colors ever)which was a perfect match!  The pink ribbon and the rub on was a subtle touch.   I wish my photo did justice to show how lovely this really is but I couldn't get the lighting right.

Unity Cupcake Buckingham Palace

This one is called Buckingham Palace.  I was able to print it in this small size and also a bit larger.  I love it.  Such a happy print!  Oh and those stamps.....my new Unity Stamps arrived.  Loving them so much.  My coloring leaves a bit to be desired however.  Leave it to me to get the Copics to run when coloring a tiny cherry.  LOL!

Crocheted Covent

And last but not least......Covent Garden.  So cute, So pretty!!    I like everything about this card except for that sentiment.  What was I thinking putting that there?  I tried to get it off but anyone who used Mono Multi knows that was not happening.

And you see that gorgeous crocheted flower?  Yep, my great great great friend Jewels made that....with her own 2 hands.  Talent!!  She sent me a pile of 'em. Thanks Jewels....they are wonderful!  Can I have some in Chocolate??? LOL.

So there you go.  How cool are those papers?  I hope you have as much fun as I did using them.  Thanks BECKY!!  Can't wait to see what else you design!  And Thank you to everyone for all your support and kind comments regarding the Elzybell DT.  One of these days I hope to calm down from the excitement and get some sleep.  LOL.  Have the greatest day ever!

Great Love

                        Great Thing

Hi all.  I hope you are all having a wonderful lazy Sunday.  I know I sure am enjoying being in my craft room.  Our family has gone back to Texas so it's back to normal for us.  Here is a quick card I put together.  I bought this ribbon from WalMart the other day and since it's a bit eclectic I went that way with the card.  At least to me this is eclectic.  LOL!  I wish I could be one of those people who could do shabby chic.  I love all these colors together.  The orange button suited the card better than a plain white or matching one.  Who knew.  The dp is Cosmo Cricket -Dutch Girl.   Thanks for stopping by.  Ciao for now.

Unity For You

                         Unity For You

Now I know how people feel when they say their posts just disappear.  I had this one ready to be published this morning at 6am and when I checked....poof it was gone.  I really think it has to do with my spell check.  I have always had a glitch with it and avoid it but last night I tried again, thought it was ok....obviously I was wrong.

Anywho....I recently bought Giggle Grove Unity stamp set from a local store. This is a card I made using one of the images. The ribbon and button treatment are cased from Nichole.  The rub on is SU and the dp is Basic Grey.  If you have not yet checked out Unity Stamps you must do so. They have $5.00 flat shipping to Canada - no minimums required-which is simply unheard of!!  It makes me want to order twice a month...LOL!  Which I did if you count the Kit of The Month club that I joined.

Hope you are having a good day.  I likely won't be able to post for a few days.  Family is still here and I have gotten in any stamp time yet.  Later!

Happy Birthday Kevin!!

                         Happy Birthday Kevin

Do you not love this owl??  He is so dang cute!  My order from CHF arrived a couple days ago.  My brother in law's birthday is today!  Happy Birthday Kevin (yeah, as if he reads this...hahaha).  Funny thing is he is turning 39 but you would think by this card he was turning 9.  LOL!!  But I just had to use my new stamps and his birthday just happened to be the next one on the calendar. The inside of the card says "Old". Haha.  This is another attempt using my Copics.  The shading is not great but the markers are SO much fun to use!!!  This is faux stitching but I do have my sewing machine set up again.  It was nice to bring it back out of hiding since the renovation is complete.

I have a card using a new Unity stamp set that I will try to post for tomorrow.  Stay tuned.  Have a great day everyone!!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #2

                         LSC_02_inspirationmap

Well, here we are with our 2nd edition of the Loonie Stampers Challenge! So FUN!  You can find the details of how our challenge started and our cards from the first round here.  Today it was Regans turn to issue the specifications for us to use.  She chose the Papertrey colors.......Berry Sorbet,  Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Blush Blossom as well as white and chocolate...... all of which was inspired by her little girls dress pattern above.  We could not use any stamped images but we could use any sentiment of our choice.  She may have meant a Papertrey sentiment but I had to go with this new metal sticker I just bought.  And I think the Friendship sentiment is quite fitting for a challenge amongst friends, don't you?  So, here is my card below. The chocolate is my base and the flowers cut out with my Cuttlebug fullfill all the color requirements.  I also just picked up these little self stick metal dots which were the perfect size.  Love those!!  And I have to say a great big  **THANK YOU to Jewels**    for creating our Logo as well as the color map above.  She rocks at computer stuff whereas I need all the help I can get.

We would totally love it if you would play along with us.  If you do please be sure to post a link so we can check them out!!  Thanks for visiting and Happy Friday everyone!!!!
