Hi Everyone! The Elzybelles were asked to do a Christmas ornament as the current challenge. Here's my cutie patootie ornament. I thought I'd do a quick tutorial showing you my project since the good stuffs inside.

The ornament is super easy and I thought this would be a fun little Christmas craft project to do with your kids. If you are having a Christmas party this would be a sweet little keepsake for them to take home. Ok....let's get started.
First---I must tell you I am so not computer savvy so I have no idea how to do a template on line. This diagram shows how easy it is though.
Cut a perfect triangle with exactly 7" sides. Mark the centres at 3.5" where you will score the inner triangle.
I actually glued two pieces of paper on top of each other for my project. The dp for the outside and the white card stock for the interior.
Now stamp the white card stock~~~turning it in to a colouring page for your kid-lets. How fun is that?!! The Elzybells stamps I used above are:
Winter Song ~~ Tiny Snowflake ~~ Holly ~~ Season's Tweetings

At this point I did score the inner triangle but you can wait until you are finished colouring it.

Time to colour! I LOVE these Elzybells from the UK!! Such a GREAT size for colouring and paper piecing!
Punch holes at each point of the triangle.
Fold on scored lines.
Now choose the items that you will decorate the finished product with and embellish to your hearts desire.
Ta-da!! And this is my finished project. I am so putting this on my tree once I get it up and decorated. Since we are less than a month from Christmas that will be very soon.
My only regret is that I hid Elzybell inside!! She's too cute to hide. If you do this project with your kids I think they would be so pleased to see their coloured handiwork facing outwards.
Another idea is to send the stamped and scored card stock out as a Christmas card. Send it to your niece's and nephews or the neighborhood kids. You could punch the holes and include some ribbon for them to hang once they have finished colouring it. I am sure anyone would love to receive a Christmas Card Ornament project!!
I hope you all enjoyed my little project and tutorial. Have the best day ever!
