Happy Friday everyone.    This weeks colours were chosen by Jewels and just like last week they are colours I would NEVER have put together myself.  I just LOVE that about these challenges.  Doing something different is a great thing for your creativity.  The Loonie girls are all such good friends but we are all as different as night and day.  OMGosh you would just laugh if you could see some of our email convo's.  THEY are crazy.  But I am sane.  Trust me.

Hello Sunshine

                      

Hi Hi Hi.  I made this card for a girlfriend who had a few of us over for lunch today.  She really is Sunshine so it was a perfect sentiment for her.  Thanks so much for lunch Tracy....we had a great time and it was so yummy!!  

I am done work for the week....Yay Yay Yay!  My DH calls it vacation but hello....I don't get paid for it so it's not a vaca.  Plus I have so much to do that there is not a moments rest I am sure.  Haha.  Okey dokey....have a great day and we'll chat soon.

                          

My May Published Card ~~~and a Special Request!!

                    

Hey all......just wanted to share with you my card that was published in the May 2009 issue of CARDS.  I originally made this card to sell to a business associate who was going to a wedding last summer but we didn't see each other in time for him to get it for the wedding.  Lucky for me!  I haven't received my complimentary copy yet (strange?) but I have seen the issue.  They did an amazing job with the photography.  Made me happy!

             

Here's my special request.  Kerianne was one of my very first on-line friends from way back~~when I used to spend too much time on SCS.  She's the most supportive and wonderful girl.  She just received news that her mom has been diagnosed with breast cancer and would like her mother's mailbox to be flooded with cards of thoughtfulness.  Sooooo....I would love it if you would visit Keri's blog post HERE and if you can spare a card and a few minutes to address an envelope please leave her a comment and she will send you her mom's address.  She has about 25 cards being sent so far but we can do much better than that, can't we?!!  I mean who doesn't like happy mail.  I know I LOVE it when my GF's send me cards.  THANK YOU to everyone who will join in on this.  I totally appreciate it and I am sure this will bring her so much pleasure each and every time she opens one cards send out of kindness.  Have a wonderful day everyone.  It's Sunday and I hope you are doing something you love or just enjoying being with the people you love the most.

Unbelieveable!!!

I didn't plan on waking up and boring you with snow pics but I cannot believe it so I just have to do it.  Yep, it's snowing here.  In case you were checking the date I posted this....YES it is June 6.  Welcome to my world. 

                     

Can you see one of my dogs in this pic....between the deck railing?  She's only 4lbs and I think she was in shock as she is usually sunbathing on the deck in the warm sun....but when a girl's gotta go a girl's gotta go.  We are going to a Lobster boil this afternoon.  Wish us luck.  Since the live lobsters are being shipped from Nova Scotia it's not something that can easily be postponed.  I am sure it will still be the yummiest lobster ever.  Have a great day everyone!

I am Loving CARDS On-line Magazine

As you may know I am a huge fan of my CARDS magazines and was so honoured when they were the very first mag to pick up one of my cards for publishing.  A few weeks ago Natasha emailed me to tell me she had seen my cards in the June issue.  I was like...huh?  I hadn't even seen the May issue yet so I was sure this was wrong.  Then I discovered that CARDS is now ON-LINE!!  Seriously....and it's fabulous.  I am hooked!  So I am super excited to share this with you....

Northridge Media is offering this free download to give you an idea of the quality of their new on-line mag.  I know I am very impressed.  The photos are just as wonderful as if you had the magazine in your hands.  It's so easy to use...even for those digitally challenged people like me!   They have wonderful photography and it translates so well on-line. 

Some features that I really like are:

--you can view the pages 2 at a time or in single page mode rather than having to scroll down.  Just click the arrow to "flip" the page. 

--there is a zoom button so you can view any page, embellishment or writing up as close as you want or need to.

--any click-able links are highlighted in red as you scroll over them.  This is great because there are so many times I have seen a new company name in the magazine and tried to make a mental note to go check them out later on.  Now I can click it right then and there and check out new product or manufacturers.

No matter where you live you can access this.  I know I have had a few UK readers mention they can't pick up this publication where they are so this is a GREAT option for you.  With my single All Access Pass subscription I not only have access to the CARDS issues but also Scrapbook Trends, Simply Handmade, Bead Trends and the Idea Book issues.  I may not be a scrapbooker but I still love to look at all the layouts or the beautiful home projects in those issues.
