I am back! Today I am sharing a couple of things I have made with a clear set called Life's a Beach. It has all kinds of different shaped shells and flowers. The sentiments are great.
OK----before I show you this next project I just have to say that sometimes I just have to shake my head at the things I do. Haha. Can you guess what these are?
Those are my X's and O's for my............Tic Tac Toe Towel!!! (Yes, I realize that the X's are square). I saw this idea on Martha Stewart website and I wanted to make it for my nieces. We have a family reunion at the end of the month and there is a beach where we are going. Fun, yes? The only problem is that my nieces are likely too young to know how to play. That and the chipboard coasters will be toast if they get wet. Haha. Oh well....cute none the less.
The grid is made by attaching 4 pieces of chocolate grosgrain ribbon in the centre of the towel. They are 24" in length and the squares are approximately 8" each I sewed the ends of the ribbon over so they won't fray. I ironed the ribbon on using Stitch Witchery so they stay in place but I still have to sew down the length of each ribbon.
Here's the game in action using those lovely shell stamped X's and O's.
Oh look I have company. Um, 'scuse me....you're not helping me little one.
OK, she's too cute. She can stay.
Hope you liked my little project of the day. Don't forget....Thursday is release day and you can see all the new Elzybells stamps being released.
