Embellish The Cure

ETA:  Apparently I am still in a vacation coma.   When scheduling this post I left it in draft form and I didn't even write anything on my Loonie post below.  Sorry about that.  I am now home from being at my sisters for the week and will try to get back to my routine....actually I need to get organized and be better than my normal routine...wish me luck!  haha.

 

Hey Everyone!  I had a really great time with the above Embellish challenge.  The colours are amazing and I still can't get over the colour map that Ashley came up with.  Can you believe she took the picture of the shoes herself?  Amazing. 

   

I have 2 cards to share with you.  The one above uses a piece of chipboard that I rounded the corners on and then attached the ribbon.  Both were originally white and then I sprayed it with Memories Metallic Mist.  The one below uses the very same colours and rhinestone accents.  It's interesting how different a card can look even using the same elements.

Loonie Stampers Challenge #64

 
ETA:   I posted this with just the pics and didn't write anything or link anything up.  Whoops.  You know.....Dee tells me she never reads anything anyways so I was just trying to help her out.  hehee.

Ok....so this week Regan chose the challenge and it's as simple as "use your copics".  Well let me tell you...I forgot every single tip those girls gave me when we were in Delaware and I did not find this easy.  Practice, practice, practice.  I need to practice.  
 

Be sure to check out what Copic magic my LSCBFF's came up with!  And it will be magic cause those girls rock the Copics.

Speaking of Delaware....I coloured this little monster when we were there and I was so thrilled with the shading on it so I thought I'd share.  Never mind that I coloured outside the lines....just look at the shading.  LOL. 

  
 
 

The Most Unspooky Card Ever

I bought these black Martha Stewart die cut card bases last year in clearance and decided to use one.  Great....now I only have 7 left.  Haha.  Does anyone else feel guilt over unused product?!  I know I do yet it doesn't seem to stop me from buying more and more schtuff.  Will I ever learn?  Is it just an addiction I need to accept?
  

Wicked!

I know everyone's crafty minds have turned to Christmas already but I thought I'd post some "wicked" cards I made before Halloween comes and goes. HAHA.  I was playing around with some old product I have....MM tags, Maya Road chipboard tree etc.  Any questions?  Let me know.

Oh and today is my dad's birthday.  Happy Birthday Dad!  {{there is no chance he will see this or read my blog but it's the thought that counts....right?!}}
 
  

Home!

Hey Everyone!  I am home but only for a day.  My sister had her baby while I was away.  It's a boy and his name is Ryder James.  He was 9lbs 9oz----Ouch!  She had a c-section and has some recovering to do.  I will be driving up there tomorrow (Tuesday) and will be back sometime on the weekend.  I can't wait to meet this little guy and I just love him so much already.  It will be fun to see how his big sisters are reacting to this new little addition in their lives. 

The cruise was fantastic.  We had such a relaxing enjoyable week.  I didn't take as many pics as I would have liked but here's a few I have to share. 

Before the cruise we had some time to kill so we walked around the beach and went for a Margarita at Bubba Gumps...I think that's what the place was called?  I have no idea why we are both standing funny.  Just being silly I guess.

 

 

Our favorite place by far was Orient Beach in St. Maarten.  The water was so warm and we just floated around in the ocean for a very long time.  The sand was amazing and everything was wonderful.  I know we will go back here one day.

 

 

Here we are in St Maarten.  Mike is going to kill me for posting this pic.  He had the funniest sunburn.  Spraying sun tan lotion in the wind isn't such a smart move Hon.  Heehee.

 

 

It was overcast in Princess Cays, Bahamas but still beautiful and warm.  We had to be tendered in and here's a shot of the ship waiting for us.

 

 

The island Grand Turk looks really beautiful from the ship.  We took a cab to a more remote beach than what is at port. It appears to be quite a poor island and is very damaged from a hurricane they had last year.  I was pretty sad for the locals because of that. 

 

 

Here we are in Grand Turk on the remote beach.  Not many people ventured from Margaritaville at the dock but I was glad that we did.

I was suppose to go on that cruise last year! I have never been on one and chickened out! Hope you have a fantastic trip with your hubby. I know lots of people that have taken cruises... Alaska being the top one. I lived there for over 34 years so not sure what the excitement was about it, but know that people think it is fantastic. I have never used a Papertrey Ink stamp, but this recent release I ordered a few of the new ones. Can't wait to get them and try them out. Thank you for the inspiration you give on your blog. I so enjoy your postings.

 

 

 

 

 

Loonie Stampers Challenge #63

September CARDS Magazine

 

I had one card published in the September issue and thought I'd share a funny little story.  In April I went to Los Angeles for a girls shopping weekend with my friend Steph and Kristina.  Mike picked Steph and I up from the Airport and on the way home he told me that I received a publication acceptance email from CARDS.  Of course I was excited and asked which one and you know what he says?   "The one with the doily and the styrofoam on it".  OMG I still am laughing of his description of this card.  Men!  So funny.  

 
 
 
 

Elzybells Sneak Peek

Bon Voyage!!

Remember THIS post?  That was the Papertrey~~Stamping Bella~~GinaK cruise I went on almost 1 year ago (364 days to be exact) and I loved the cruise so much that I am on my way again~~~this time with my hubby and without any craft items. Haha.  I am super excited and thought I'd leave you with a little blog give away and my itinerary.   BTW - the picture on that card still applies to me in a bathing suit!  HAHA!
