First let me just say....I CANNOT believe I angled this image on my card.  I usually like things straight and centred on my cards.  I was torn about it and after 30 mins of debating I asked Mike to decide for me.  He chose angled.  It was traumatic.  I might need therapy.  But HELLO....love these colours together.  Yay Jewels.

I absolutely MUST show you a close up of this amazing ribbon.  Just look at that ruffled edge!!  It's a brown faux suede ribbon which you can get here at Perfectly Pretty.  Check it out in Celery and Red as well.  To die for!!

If I had made a NY resolution to be a better blogger I would have already failed.  I HAVE been making cards but I don't know why it's so hard for me to photograph and upload them.  The top part of this card is journal tag (Cosmo Cricket maybe?).  I know, cute, right?

What are you up to today?  I am done work for the week so I am going to tackle cleaning this house.  It's in desperate need I tell ya.   But first I am going to sleep in very very late!  Chat soon. 

Loonie Stampers Challenge

Only Wendy!  Only Wendy could choose to put these colours together!  Girlfriend...I'd like to live in your colourful head for one day!!  We are posting our cards just a couple days late as we were all pretty behind getting them done for Friday.  Here's mine.  The red is just peeking out behing the bow.  I love Papertrey buttons as many of them have holes big enough to thread even that wide grosgrain.

So what do you have planned for today?  I will have a pot of soup on the stove simmering away and will be in the craft room puttering away.  Oh and then there's the small matter of laundry.  Life after Christmas and New Years really does go on.  Have a wonderfulday peaceful Sunday everyone!

Look Who's Packing Their Suitcase!!!

Oh Yeah Baby!!  This girl is excited and happy and nervous too.  The plane ticket is paid for (Thanks Hon!), the hotel is reserved and the countdown is on!

I am going to CHA!!!!

My amazing and talented friend Carly (I am on her Perfectly Pretty  design team) has graciously invited me and Steph to attend with her and we couldn't be happier.  In Steph's words .....it's going to be Disneyland for crafters!  lol.  I know of a few friends who will be there that I can't wait to meet them in person~~~even though I feel like I know them as if I grew up next door to them....Kim Crawford, Michelle Woerner and Courtney Baker.  There's nothing like hUgS in real life!  Are YOU going?

Before I go....here's a few more cards I made when I was playing around with the printable stamps from Cutting Cafe' for the Embellish~Hearts challenge (scroll down for yesterdays post). 

Sweet Love ~~~ I really really tried to thread a large heart button on to the grosgrain ribbon but it was having none of that.  The picture below shows my scallops up close which is just several punched ovals glued together.  I like it.

 

Be Mine~~~ My inspiration for my stitched hearts came from these cards of Tina's.  I couldn't stop thinking of them.  I used Hibiscus Pink cardstock for my "light pink" on this one.

How Tweet ~~~ The kraft tag is Maya Road and the ribbon is from Perfectly Pretty Cards Etsy shop.  So 'tweet'.

On my first card I die cut this 'image' of words into a heart.  Very easy patterned paper don'tcha think?

My second project is a fun little post card I made with all my nieces and nephews in mind.  How fun would it be for the kiddos to receive post cards from Auntie Char?!!  Now I have no idea if you can even send a homemade post card but I might try it one day to what happens.  It will have to be without that little ribbon tab as I am sure it would never arrive intact.

Note:  the back of the postcard is made with alpha stamps and I drew in the lines.  They are not digi images but wouldn't that be a GREAT idea? A printable postcard!  Regina....hint hint.
