Hey Everyone......can I get a YAY for Friday?!!!
Our colour challenge for the day is a fun one! When you think of "gold" you might be thinking of those old brass lamps from the 90's that you had {or in my case still have in the garage just waiting for me to get the nerve up to have a garage sale} and saying "ugh" but as soon as I saw it I knew what I'd be doing.
I went through some of my many jars of buttons that my mom bought me at a thrift store and found a matching set that does look like old brass. They are a bit beat up but they work. I strung the buttons with brown twine and adhered them to the centre of some Maya Road sheer plastic flowers (can you say vintage?!!).
{{Speaking of Maya Road...have you seen their CHA sneak peeks? I have to get my hands on some of that new chipboard!!! I am a chipboard hoarder and have drawers of it already but that won't stop me. In fact I just got 1000 blank chipboard coasters in the mail. I know....I'm crazy. haha.}}
ETA: This card to be published in Paper Creations magazine.
Sorry about the crappy photos. It was tough for me to get a pic where you could see the gold but not have the white cardstock and flowers look "blue-ish".
The stamped sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set over at Technique Tuesday. A fabulous set if I do say so. And I do.
Let's go visit 5 of my favorite people in the whole world!
Thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend at home that involves alot of card making if all goes well. What big weekend plans do you have?
