TGIF! This week went by fast but it was still a long week so I'm happy it's over. I don't work Fridays and I'm going to sleep in till noon! Oh yes I am.
I got to choose the colours of the week and did I go colourful! It was my nieces 3rd birthday last week and this is the card I made for her. I am the first to admit I hate that Plum Pudding colour but I think it looks fantastic with these other colours. I mean really......who doesn't love a purple polka dotted cupcake??!!!

The little flowers are paper pieced. I don't mind some fussy cutting but those were a doozy and best left to the experts like Wendy. One of my favorite parts of the card is the small alpha that was embossed in clear onto the yellow piece.

I also made my nieces birthday invitations. I have actually made both hers and her 4 year old sisters invitations each year now. They just tell me the theme they want and I come up with something I think they will like. I've done Dora, Ariel and princesses galore.
This year Camryrn asked for a "Strawberry Shortcake" themed party. Instead of using the image of the little girl on the invite I cut out and heat embossed a strawberry shape with polka dots. I know she loved them cuz my sister sent me the cutest video of Cam thanking me. My sister said she didn't let go of them all day. haha. So sweet! The back of the invite is very colourful with all the party details, rsvp info etc. Love it. And yep, I machine stitched each strawberry after I heat embossed them. Don't you love my play on words? Yeah, I'm brilliant like that. Ha.
I had a few extra strawberries so I made her this little banner. I'm hoping she hangs it on her bedroom door as it would be the perfect size. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!
