That's right....it's time for another Technique Tuesday’s Stamping Techs blog hop!

 

This month, we are playing with Technique Tuesday’s Little Treasures stamp sets.  These affordable little stamp sets are a great way to try out Technique Tuesday’s stamps. They sell for just $2.99 each and range from flowers to ones with Ali Edwards’ handwriting.

 

And if you know me, then you know I went with Ali Edwards's handwriting!  The stamp set I used is called Missing You by Ali Edwards.   

 

 

 

I stamped the sentiments a few times across a piece of cardstock to create my sentiment panel.  {{I dotted the i's with little hearts.}}

Loonie Stampers Challenge

 

 

 

This week was a bit of a challenge indeed.  Rhonda asked us to use Red, Light Pink and Lime Green.  I do love the colour combo but I left it pretty late and rushed it so I really wasn't thrilled with the pink that I chose and the card didn't turn out like I envisioned.  {{And don't even get me started on trying to photograph that foil holly leaf!}}  Oh well, another card that's ready to be signed, sealed and delivered! 

 

 

 

The stamp set I used is called Good Cheer by Ali Edwards ~~ from Technique Tuesday. 

 

 

 

 

Anyone else out there a Twilight fan?  The Loonie girls and myself sure are.  I know a couple of the girls have tickets in hand to go opening night.  We didn't pre-order but I think Wendy, Rho and I are going to try to go see it this weekend.  Maybe Sunday.  Should be fun.

Embellish Color Trends Challenge - Leaves

 

 

 

 

Hey Everyone.  I'm back with the newest Embellish Color Challenge for you.

 

Almost every week I think to myself that there is NO WAY I would have EVER put these colors together on my own.  No way.  But I always know I'm going to love them together so it's really something I do look forward to.  And so is the little twist we add for you.  The element we need you to add this week to your creation, along with the colors above, is LEAVES.  You can do anything your heart desires.  What pops into your mind when you think "leaves"?

The first thing that popped into my head for a "Leaves" element was a Poinsettia because the colored "flowers" of the plant are actually leaves themselves.  {{Honest!  I even looked it up and Wikipedia says so.}}

 

I could not believe I did not have any burgundy felt.  I have every other color under the sun but not burgundy?!!  Also, I've been trying to find the Spellbinders Poinsettia die to buy locally but I have had no luck so far.  I ended up just drawing and hand cutting the leaves and I think it turned out ok even though it was ALOT bigger than I had planned on.  {{Also, the more I played with it the more it started looking like a water lily to me.  Maybe because it was 2:00 am and I was delirious.}}  

 

 

 

 

I used my all time favorite Christmas stamp set......Good Cheer by Ali Edwards for my sentiment.   I scattered a bunch of tiny Martha Stewart rhinestones on the bottom half of the card.  Then I changed my mind about adding those on but it was too late.  I couldn't get them off.  Those little guys stuck!

{{p.s....has anyone ever noticed that when I do the Embellish posts I spell "color" like they do in the US but when I do my regular posts I spell it "colour" like we do in Canada?  Ok, am I getting delirious again?  Randomness.}}  

 

 

 

 

 

LSC - Baby Card

 

 

 

So I'm at that age where I don't really have friends or family who are having babies anymore which mean I'm not usually in need of a baby card.  However, this week that is what Maria chose for us to create.  Specifically a baby GIRL card.  {{Hmmmm....maybe she's trying to tell us something?!  heehee.}} 

 

 

 

 

I went super simple on this one.  In fact, I CASED one of my own cards.  The second one in this post.  Whoa....don't let the colour saturation and over exposure blind you.  Click at your own risk. 

 

 

 

I'm keeping this post short and sweet.

Loonie Stampers - Buttons

 

 

 

OK so you know how I made this button card a few weeks ago and declared it was button day for the Loonie Stampers choice?  Yeah....no.  That day was supposed to be butterflies and TODAY is buttons.  I was right tempted to make a butterfly card today just to really mess with the girls.  But my good friend Gabi has been using her Button Boutique stamp set like crazy these days and I was inspired to get mine out. 

 

 

 

 

I don't know that I necessarily love this card.  What does wood grain have to do with buttons, you ask?  Nothing...except that the woodgrain heat embossed card base was sitting within arms reach.  I kinda thru this one together and I'm afraid you can tell.
