Trick or Treat

 

 

Are you all ready for trick or treating tonight?  We have enough chips and chocolate bars for 50 kids.  I doubt we will get that many but you never know.  Unfortunately, I bought chips and chocolate bars that I actually like so I've eaten my fair share already.  Not smart.  

 

 

This is my last Halloween card.  Obviously.  Duh.   I used Leaves are Lovely by Ali Edwards for the sentiment.  The Chevron was stamped using acrylic paint.   (The adorable Owl is Stampin Up but I'm not sure if it's still available or not)

 

Does this mean I get to start on Christmas cards now?!!!!

Hey Everyone

Here's a Halloween card that I had every intention of mailing out.  Honestly I was going to mail several.  But I didn't.  Yeah, I know.......but I'm a card maker....not card giver.  

 

Technique Tuesday stamps used:  EEK.  Seriously, look at that little bat.  So cute!!!

 

 

Mike and I started a DIY project of our laundry room last Monday (we had the week off to use up vacation days).  We did the board and batten treatment on the walls, which I'm sure you've seen all over the blog world, and painted the upper portion a deep charcoal.  We ordered a new washer and dryer but we are now at a stand still for 4 weeks as that's how long the new sink and vanity will take to come in.  I shoulda been more on top of that.  If the room turns out decent enough I'll think about posting the before and afters.  But I also have been planning on posting my final kitchen pictures for the last 2 years now and haven't done that yet either.  What is wrong with me?

Embellish Color Trends Challenge - Paint

 

 

Hey Everyone.   Well, it's Friday and it's snowy and cold here so it's been the perfect week to stay indoors and get stuff done.  Does anyone else find there is always so much to do no matter how productive you try to be with list after list? 

 

Here is my newest Embellish Magazine Challenge card. {I don't do many Halloween cards but I have a few more I've made recently so I'll have to get those up before the holiday comes and goes.  And MAYBE I'll even mail some out.  Maybe.  Maybe not.}}

 

 

I used Chevrons Two Step stamp set as well as Leaves are Lovely by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday.   I LOVE that Chevron set.  I used acrylic paint on it and love how distressed the Chevron stripes came out.  Does it remind you of Charlie Brown's shirt too?  I have a Charlie Brown Christmas stamp so I'll have to remember to use it with the chevron.

Hello Fall and Good-bye Summer Plants

 

 

Hello everyone!!  

Popping in with a mid week post (crazy I know!) to share a card made using the In Stitches stamp set from Technique Tuesday.  {{I might of went a little bit crazy with stamping the stitches}}.  I had no plan in mind but it turned out I was going for a bit of a quilted look.  Kinda?  Maybe?  It really is just a fun and cozy card.  I think we will send this to my mother in law.  She recently broke her wrist and could use a little pick me up.

These are photos I took on Tuesday afternoon of the summer plants still on my deck.  I'm amazed that they have lasted from May to October.  This is Canada after all and it's a small miracle that hail didn't kill them long ago.  Sadly, I will likely wake up tomorrow morning (I am typing this on Tuesday night) to a lot of frozen plants as it is literally freezing outside right now and snow is in the forecast for the night.  But it's ok.  It is October after all and seems a little strange to run the furnace during the night and water the plants during the day.  LOL.  Oh I am bringing in that herb pots and making more basil pesto.  Have you ever made homemade pesto?  Oh my....so worth it.
