Happy Friday! 

Did you all know that our wonderful Dee is having a baby?!!!  SOON!  I think her due date is October 15.  She's having a girl.  How great is that?  We are all trying to name the kiddo and I'm sure she will become an honourary Loonie member one day.  {{oh that poor kid}}

Anywhooo....we made baby girl cards!  Yes we did!

 

 

 

Some of you might remember that I love this Cricut butterfly as much as I love my beloved heart.

I stamped and heat embossed the flower and sentiment from Loving Words by Ali Edwards.  This is probably my most favorite stamp set EVER.  You can find them over at Technique Tuesday of course.

 

 

 

I made the frame from a chipboard coaster by die cutting a square out of the middle.   A little bit of bumble bee patterned paper and a trimmed out sentiment finishes it all up!  Hope you likey!

Embellish Magazine - Baby Theme

 

Hey wonderful people!  I'm so glad you stopped by cuz I have a fun new Embellish Magazine challenge to share with you.  Our FABulous sponsor is Wplus9 Design Studio.  {{Swoooon}}.  This is the first time I have used these stamps (but I have LOVED them from afar since day 1) and now I LOVE them up close and personal!

The designs are incredible and they stamp like a dream.  Thank you so much to Dawn for sending this great stamp set for me to play with.  I will be using it again and again. 

My little teddy is pulling his toy train.  The string on the train is technically laying on the ground in the stamp but I did a bit of masking in order to raise the string to the teddy's paw.  I think I will stamp a bunch of these images and mail them to my nieces to colour.  They are 2 & {almost} 4 so I think they would love them.

Embellish Magazine - Parties

Hi All....we have another really fun Embellish Magazine challenge for you.  The colours are a definite change from pastels that you might have been using recently for Easter or bright colours wishing for summer to arrive.

The theme for this challenge is "Parties".  Who doesn't love a party?!!  Be sure to check out Embellish Magazine for even more details and party ideas.

I'd like to introduce you to our sponsor ~~~ Denami Design Stamps.  I received some really adorable baby stamps to create with this week.  If you are like me your first thought might be that the colours red, white, black and kraft are going to be difficult to make baby items with.  But you'd be wrong.  I have to tell you I LOVE the colour combo with my baby themed projects.

First up I started with a baby food jar filled with peppermint epsom salt.  I first made these for my niece Ryann's baby shower (she will be 4 in July).  I got the idea from my wonderful friend Steph and I've made them for 4 different babies since.  They are fun little keepsakes to give to the guests who attend the baby shower.  Usually I print a label with the baby's name and date of birth on it but went a little more generic on this sample.

The stamp on the kraft label is E115 Onesie from Denami Designs.

I made a set of cards for the new mom to use as special Thank You cards and put them in one of Denami's great Clear Boutique Boxes.  What a great gift and they are super easy to decorate.

Stamp used is C71 Small Side View Sheep. ADORABLE.

I just love how this little baby circle and sheep embellishes my beloved heart {{YES, the heart!}}

Loonie Stampers Challenge #81

Hi Everyone....this is post #2 today.  Please scroll down to catch my Embellish Magazine creations. 

The Loonie colours were chosen by "Moi".  When I was at my sisters last week I saw one of my nieces shirts that was a smokey shadow grey colour with light green and pink design on it.  It was adorable. 

Anywho....I went ahead and made another one of my Ribbon Scraps Border cards.  This time I only used ribbon from Perfectly Pretty {including that gorgeous crocheted ribbon}.  In fact I snipped the pieces off and "made" my scraps.  It's a little busier than the last one and I thought this border had a bit of a quilt look to it.  It seemed to say "baby" to me so there you go.

The scroll blessing sentiment is from the awesome Technique Tuesday Loving Words stamp set.  How perfect does it go with Papertreys sentiment from Bitty Baby Blessings???

A Sweet Reject

Hi All.....first a BIG. HUGE. THANK YOU. for all the blog love you have given me here and on my interview at Paper Crafts.  It was an incredibly surreal experience and I loved every minute of it.  As I was reading each of your comments I was thinking "are they talking about ME?  No Way!!"  But seriously....THANK YOU!  So much.  AND if you are a new reader to my blog---WELCOME!!!

Today I thought I'd share a reject card.  It was submitted recently to a pub call but it had no takers.  But that's ok.  It happens.  Alot.  I am not quite sure what I was thinking with the french "bebe" thing other than I ran out of A' s and Y's.  Heehee.  The jean fabric is from an old pair of Mike's jeans that were destined for the trash.

May Arts has a fabulous sheer ribbon which these flowers were once attached to.  You can find it and the gorgeous ruffled edged ribbon at Perfectly Pretty.  {{{Note:  Carly is away on vacation right now but it's worth the wait to check out the amazing ribbon.  You can sign up there to be notified when she returns.}}}

Loonie Stampers Challenge

Merry Christmas everyone!  I don't expect anyone will be checking out blogs today but the Loonies decided to go ahead with our regular scheduled post anyway.  I am glad we did because I love the colours Maria chose.  I know the polka dot heart looks black but I think it's more a very dark blue.  I wouldn't lie or cheat.  Really.  I believe it's from Basic Grey's June Bug. 

And of course it's a heart~~~because I can't stop myself.

Hello

Hi Everyone....I hope you had a great weekend.  I am thrilled to say I have most of my Christmas shopping done!  Yay!  How about your Christmas tree?  Did you get it set up?  I wasn't going to put a tree up but we ended up setting up just the top 2 pieces of the 3 piece seven foot tree. That means we have a cute little 5' tree.  Not that it's decorated or anything but it makes me feel like I did something....haha.   Adding lights and decorating will have to wait until Thursday.  It's my short week.  Another....Yay!

Sorry I don't have much to share with you.  I have been creating a few things for some pub calls but I can't share until they are rejects....which is likely too so maybe one day.  In the meantime I do have a couple cards I can share.

This first one is a precious girlie CASE of my baby boy card.  Cuteness.

This next one is a close up of a card I showed briefly the other day.  I love the layout and seem to keep creating this style.  Of course the card can be made with any sentiment you wish.  The flowers are heat embossed and some of the black powder stayed where it shouldn't have....but I like it anyway.  It's rustic.  Sure....lets go with that...rustic.  haha.

Outside In

        

Hey Everyone!  I am back from my mini vacation to California.....it was wonderful ~and warm~and green!  The shopping is amazing and WOW do the locals of Beverly Hills live a dream life.  I completely enjoyed every bit of it.  But it's always great to get home too, isn't it?!

I have lots of Elzybells schtuff to share with you over the next 5 days!!  Today we have the DT challenge and then starting Friday we have sneak peeks of Aprils new stamps release.  So fun!

 

I made this card for my sister who is expecting her 3rd child in October.  Her oldest will be 3.5 when the 3rd is born.  Oh My!  But I am excited and thrilled and so thankful to her for bringing these amazing children in to my life.

The DT challenge was to make a card and decorate the inside.  I have never done this before and it really does add something special to the card.  As you can see from mine it doesn't take much more than a scrap piece of paper and a bit of trim to make it super cute!  If you click on the image it should enlarge it so you can see my tiny little safety pin attached to the ric rac trim.  Heehee.   Be sure to check out the DT's Inside Out creations.  And I will see you here tomorrow for the first day of the Elzybells Sneak Peek. 

 

Loonie Stampers Challenge

 

I do love me some lace!  Great pick on the challenge deets Dee!  I will tell you a story about this lace I used.  I was at a liquidation store....where they sell junk basically but I still go...Haha.  I think they liquidate alot of stuff from stores going out of business or damaged in transit etc.  It's like a year round garage sale.  Anywho....a few months ago I found this roll of lace.  Honest to God, I think it has about 170 yards of lace on the roll.  And I paid $0.25 cent.  Yes, you read that right.  25 cents for the whole entire roll! Good find!!  I was still in need of some baby cards so this is what I came up with.  Isn't' that a great border? The ABC123 is a new EK Success punch from Michael's I just bought.

If you are reading this on Friday I will actually be in California.  I left Thursday for a shopping trip with 2 of my girlfriends.  We are staying 1 mile from Rodeo Drive and 3 miles from the Hollywood sign.  Our main goal is craft SHOPPING and outlet mall shopping (even though our Canadian dollar is horrible!).  I think we might try to do some cheasy tour of the stars or something like that too.  I'll let you know.  We are only there for 72 hours and I am sure we will run out of time to do everything we'd like to.  Are any of you from California or the L.A. area?? If you are please try not to curse the tourist in the rental car on your freeways ok?? HEE!!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #33

        

Mornin' everyone!  I hope you will play along with todays colors picked by Moi!  I really love these 2 colors together after making the little Easter card in this post.  They are just so fresh and happy to me.   And I can't wait to see what the other girls came up with.  These colors are not wild and crazy colors like they have been used to lately (Wendy!!).  LOL.  Have a GREAT Friday.....and don't forget to check the previous post for details of FREE Elzybells shipping!!
