Hi everyone! Mike and I just got home tonight after spending 5 days in Edmonton babysitting my sisters 3 little ones. I know....talk about crazy. We are absolutely wiped out. They exhausted us ...{and if I never see a dirty diaper again it will be too soon!}. But oh do we love those kids. We had some good laughs when talking about the week on the 3 hour ride home even though when you're in the moment it feels a bit like hell. lol.
Anywho....we came home to find our pendant lights installed!! Woohoo! I LOVE them and wanted to share with you. We ordered these in May and were told 4-6 weeks delivery but they just arrived on September 15 so that was 4 months. Well worth the wait and I'm just glad we got them.

These are Hudson Valley Winslow pendants. They are huge (14.25" wide) but the island is 10 feet long so the kitchen can handle them. I love the simplicity of them and I think they look a bit retro diner-ish.

And do you see those gorgeous green cast iron pots on the stove in the background?

Bruce - the owner of The Remodelers (our contractor) - told me last week that there would be something here for me when we got home. Well, these amazing Kiwi Le Creuset french ovens were on my stove. {one is round and one is oval}. OMG~~now that is something to come home to! I actually do have a Le Creuset in the Kiwi colour in the 5.2L size (is that right Steph?) but I don't have these sizes and this is my first oval. These are such a great addition to my beautiful kitchen.
I LOVE Le Creuset so much and my friend Steph and I have this crazy addiction to collecting them. In fact I joke that the reason we remodeled our kitchen is so I will have a place to display the LC's.....{only I'm not really joking}. Thank you so much Bruce!! I will absolutely treasure these generous gifts!
Now......let's talk about World Card Making Day! It's this Saturday October 2nd people! Do you have any plans on how you are spending the day?
